These terms explain how quotes, bookings, payments, event logistics, and cancellations work with RPM’s DJ Service. Please read them before submitting the booking form
LAST UPDATED: 20 September 2025
We provide professional DJ/MC services and optional add-ons (ceremony audio, cocktail-hour audio, up lighting, extra speakers, etc.), as quoted.
A form submission or quote does not hold a date.
Your date is reserved once we confirm availability and receive the required retainer (see §3) or a signed agreement where applicable.
We may decline events that present safety, legal, or venue-rule conflicts.
A non-refundable retainer of 25% is required to reserve the date.
The balance is due 7 days before the event unless otherwise stated in your invoice.
Overtime (if approved by you and the venue) is billed in 30- or 60-minute blocks at the rate on your invoice.
Provide a clean, flat, covered area of about 8' × 6' with adequate ventilation.
Ensure one dedicated 15A electrical circuit for sound; a second 15A is helpful for lighting.
Confirm venue rules for sound levels, curfews, load-in/out access, and parking.
Provide a rain plan for outdoor events and protect equipment from weather.
We welcome must-play and do-not-play lists. We’ll read the room and keep the flow.
If requested songs aren’t available (e.g., licensing or network issues), we’ll offer close alternatives.
We typically need 60–90 minutes for setup and 45–60 minutes for teardown.
Start and end times are based on your agreement/invoice. Delays caused by venue access may shorten play time without refund.
Client/venue agree to prevent guests from handling equipment.
You’re responsible for damage caused by attendees, vendors, or venue staff outside normal wear and tear.
We may capture short clips/photos for portfolio or social proof. Tell us in writing before the event if you prefer we do not do this.
See the Refund Policy (incorporated by reference).
If we must cancel due to emergency or force majeure, we’ll refund amounts paid and help with a suitable replacement DJ when possible.
Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, power failure, strikes, emergencies). Payments already made are handled under the Refund Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected services.
We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages (e.g., lost revenue).
This does not limit liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where prohibited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Illinois without regard to conflict rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Winnebago, Cook County, or nearby venue-appropriate county unless otherwise agreed.
We may update these terms; the “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Material changes will be posted on the site.
